Our solid-socket digging tools are superbly crafted by Spear and Jackson. They have been producing fine tools since the mid 1700's. Handles are carefully fitted, weatherproofed straight-grained ash. The solid-socket carbon steel heads are ultra strong.
About Sizes: "Digging" forks and spades have larger blades (11"x7") for soil preparation, planting shrubs, etc., overall length is 39". Border tools are lighter and have smaller blades (9"x5½") for close work in existing plantings, raised beds, etc., length is 37".
