Author, editor and Master Gardener, Rhonda Massingham Hart offers many methods to help us deerproof our landscape. In this resource book she gives us a thorough understanding of animal’s behavior. Then she gives suggestions for surefire plants deer truly hate. She also gives information on homemade and store-bought deterrents that really work. Deer fencing and netting options are discussed and actual landscaping options that might deter deer entry. This book gives many strategies that the reader can choose from that apply to their particular deer problem.
Peter Loewer, author and illustrator of The Wild Gardener and 30 other beautiful and informative gardening books gives the gardener an elegantly illustrated handbook. It helps gardeners identify the weeds they have and how to eliminate them. Mr. Loewer gives important facts on the pollination and germination of weed seeds. One needs to know how they got there and why they continue to survive in order to eradicate them. He also tells us how to effectively use herbicides (chemical and organic), when to call the extension service and when just plain hard work will do the trick. This is a book every gardener should have in his or her reference library.

A signed copy of Guy Wolff's book: Guy Wolff: Master Potter in the Garden.
If you mention Guy Wolff to a serious gardener, that gardener will almost certainly admit to either owning a Guy Wolff flowerpot or coveting one.
Wolff is probably the best-known potter working in the United States today. In gardening circles, he is a highly revered horticultural icon; His work also appeals to lovers of design and fine arts: visit the personal gardens of landscape designers, and you will see Guy Wolff pots. Step inside the gates of estate gardens, and you will see Guy Wolff pots. Yet he is a potter’s potter. He’s a big ware thrower, a skill few have today. He thinks deeply about what he calls the architecture of pots and the importance of handmade objects in our lives.
Whether you are a longtime collector of Wolff’s pots, anxious to buy your first one, or simply intrigued by the beauty and practicality of hand-crafted goods in our fast-paced era, you’ll want to add his illustrated and signed book to your collection.
